Applications in the medical field frequently use single-sided silicone-coated materials that are coated with adhesives in the transfer process.

An adhesive compound is applied to the silicone-coated side and, after drying, laminated to another material that can be made self-adhesive – for example wound plasters or transdermal patches in which active ingredients are incorporated into the adhesive. In addition, we supply special, thermoformable PET films for the production of ECG electrodes.

Single-sided silicone-coated material is also used in the hygiene sector – often as a protective paper, for example as a cover for partially applied adhesive on incontinence or sanitary products.

On top of this come many new hygiene applications: high-performance, absorbent underarm pads prevent sweat or deodorant stains, for instance. These special self-adhesive pads are stuck directly onto the garment and removed without residue after use.
