CODE OF CONDUCT
Code of Conduct of Scheddin Industrievertretung GmbH
Principles for responsible, lawful and ethical conduct
This Code of Conduct describes the binding principles according to which Scheddin Industrievertretung GmbH conducts its business relationships. It serves as guidance for employees and as a framework of expectations for suppliers, service providers and other business partners.
1. Scope and Basic Principles
The Scheddin GmbH stands for reliable, long-term and fair business relationships. Our actions are based on integrity, responsibility, transparency and mutual respect.
This Code of Conduct applies to all employees and members of the governing bodies of Scheddin Industrievertretung GmbH. We expect our business partners to appropriately observe the principles described herein and promote them within their own organizations.
The applicable national and international laws and regulations shall always prevail. Where there are differences between this Code of Conduct and mandatory law, mandatory law takes precedence.
2. Human Rights and Fair Working Conditions
We respect internationally recognized human rights and reject all forms of inhumane treatment. This includes in particular the following principles:
- No child labor and no employment below the applicable statutory minimum age.
- No forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking or involuntary labor.
- Fair, respectful and non-discriminatory treatment of all employees.
- Compliance with applicable regulations concerning working hours, remuneration, leave and other employment conditions.
- Respect for freedom of association and the right to employee representation in accordance with the applicable laws.
3. Equal Treatment and Respectful Cooperation
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, intimidation or degrading treatment. Decisions in the workplace should be based on objective criteria such as qualifications, performance, experience and the requirements of the respective task.
We regard different perspectives and experiences as an asset. We expect professional, respectful and appreciative interaction with one another - both internally and externally.
4. Occupational Health and Safety
The safety and health of employees and business partners are of great importance. We comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements and promote a working environment in which risks are identified, avoided and appropriately managed.
Safety-related instructions and requirements must be followed. Hazardous situations or identified safety deficiencies should be reported immediately and, where possible, rectified.
5. Integrity, Prevention of Corruption and Gifts
Business decisions are made objectively and in the interests of the company. Bribery, corruption, improper granting of benefits, facilitation payments or other forms of corruption are not tolerated.
Gifts, invitations and other benefits may only be accepted or granted if they are appropriate, transparent and legally permissible and do not create the impression that they are intended to influence a business decision.
6. Fair Competition and Antitrust Law
We are committed to fair and open competition. Agreements or coordinated practices with competitors that unlawfully influence prices, customers, territories, bids or other competitive parameters are prohibited.
Confidential information from competitors, customers or suppliers may only be obtained and used in a lawful and honest manner.
7. Conflicts of Interest
Private interests must not improperly influence business decisions. Actual or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at an early stage and transparently so that an appropriate solution can be found.
This applies in particular to personal or financial relationships with customers, suppliers, competitors or other business partners if these could impair the independence of a decision.
8. Data Protection, Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
Personal data is processed confidentially and only in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. Access to data should be limited to what is necessary for the respective task.
Business and trade secrets as well as confidential technical, commercial and personal information of Scheddin, customers, suppliers and other business partners must be protected against unauthorized access, disclosure and misuse.
Intellectual property rights - in particular trademarks, patents, copyrights, technical documents, drawings and know-how - must be respected.
9. Environment and Responsible Use of Resources
We are committed to the responsible use of natural resources and to avoiding unnecessary environmental impacts. We take environmental aspects into account in our business decisions insofar as this is economically and technically feasible.
We expect our business partners to comply with the environmental regulations applicable to them and to handle energy, raw materials, waste, emissions and hazardous substances responsibly.
10. Quality, Product Safety and Responsible Business Practices
We strive for reliable and transparent cooperation with customers and suppliers. Information on products, specifications, prices, delivery terms and quality characteristics should be complete, traceable and correct to the best of our knowledge.
Relevant legal, technical and customer-specific requirements for products and services must be taken into account. Identified quality or product safety risks should be communicated immediately to the responsible contacts.
11. Responsibility in the Supply Chain
We expect our suppliers and other business partners to observe the key principles of this Code of Conduct and to take appropriate measures to prevent unlawful or unethical business practices within their sphere of influence.
Where risks or violations are identified, we primarily seek objective clarification and appropriate remedial measures. Serious or repeated violations may have consequences for the business relationship.
12. Reporting, Violations and Implementation
Potential violations of this Code of Conduct, applicable law or internal requirements should be reported to management or the responsible contact person. Reports will be treated confidentially and with the necessary care.
Disadvantages or retaliatory measures against persons who report possible violations in good faith are not accepted.
Management is responsible for the appropriate implementation and regular review of this Code of Conduct. If necessary, the Code of Conduct will be adapted to new legal, social or business requirements.
13. Binding Effect and Entry into Force
This Code of Conduct enters into force upon approval. It provides the framework for responsible conduct at Scheddin and supports trusting cooperation with customers, suppliers and other business partners.
